The Rocky Castle Gang is on the lam from the Police, who are in pursuit of the Gang's car when it just disappears without a trace! The JSA decides to investigate and comes upon an isolated cottage and hear cries for help. Entering, they discover a helpless Dr. Egri tied up in his lab, who explains his experiments with cosmic radiation. He explains the Rocky Castle Gang has stolen plutonium enriched items, which possess unlimited cosmic power. He's scared of the damage the gang can now inflict on mankind, so most of the JSA head out to four places where cosmic radiation has been strongest.

Ox and Gun-Shy rob the Civic Theatre of $20,000 in gate receipts, when cosmic rays strike the stickpin and wristwatch the two are wearing. The Justice Society of America
Justice Society of America [Green Lantern [Alan Scott]; The Atom [Al Pratt]; Wonder Woman [Diana Prince]; Black Canary [Dinah Drake]; The Flash [Jay Garrick]; Dr. Mid-Nite [Dr. Charles McNider]; Hawkman [Carter Hall]]; Dan Rogers (wealthy oil king); The Ranee of Patomar; the Ranee's unnamed body guards; The Rocky Castle Gang [Gun-Shy; Peewee; Rocky; Slowpoke; Specs; Ox]; Dr. Felix Egri (villain, death)
Slowpoke has just robbed Mr. Rogers of one million dollars, and as he exits the mansion, cosmic rays strike his jacket, giving him super-speed. Flash nabs him, but when he touches the jacket, something happens. A foreign Ranee arrives in the U.S. wearing a necklace made of one piece of flawless ivory, and Rocky is on hand to swipe it, using a cosmic powered ring. GL touches the ring, however, and fades away. Rocky's gang then confronts Dr. Egri, who has imprisoned the JSA members, and who tells Rocky they were used as pawns and he is going to destroy them. Black Canary saves the day.
