Hey! Quit stealing those peaches, you starvation twins!
Synopsis:
3-year old Brownie comes out of hibernation seeking more humans to sponge off of. At a logging camp he scares Shorty in the bunkhouse kitchen, but makes friends rolling on his back. The loggers come in; they're afraid, too, until Shorty shows them Brownie is tame. They take to him, but not their boss, who is tight with provisions. He hits Shorty; Brownie cuffs him. Shorty takes provisions in lieu of 6-months back pay, lit out with Brownie in a canoe before the boss wakes up. Overturned on the rapids, Shorty clings to Brownie's fur, saved, until ashore, where he resolves to build a cabin.
