Together with Ann, his mate, and Zulu, the voiceless man-cub, Kaänga roamed the Congo's twisting trails...
Ann and Zulu are captured by a hostile tribe bent on exacting revenge on Kaänga for a murder they believe he committed. Kaänga frees his companions and forces the witch doctor to admit to framing Kaänga.

Weeks had passed since Kaänga denied the Tanganis hunting rights to the Bantu plains.
Kaänga is framed by treasure hunters for an attack on the Tanganis and theft of their sacred treasure. The treasure hunters capture Ann. Kaänga rescues Ann and exposes the treasure hunters' tricks.

The jungle was Kaänga's kingdom! And no man knew or ruled his dominion better.
Kaänga leads what he believes to be a group of scientists to the N'glios' Temple. They are in fact, treasure hunters. The N'glios attack the party. It is only after Kaänga is rescued from drowning by the N'glios' chief that the deception is exposed. Kaänga turns the thieves over to the district commissioner.
