The commissioner sends Camilla and small party to confirm the discovery of some ancient temple treasures. The criminals, Morgan's gang, intercept the runner and take his letter, re-writing it so that Camilla will believe that the commissioner wants them on the expedition. When Morgan attempts to kill Camilla, she realizes her mistake in accepting them. She exposes their plot to steal the treasures and assures the local natives that the criminals will be punished by white man's law.
