Police bring the creature down and they attempt to chop him up with axes, but the beast arises and escapes.

Suddenly, a group of thugs interrupt and demand a package containing the Emmelman Pearls, the soldier is carrying for a friend of his. When Tom doesn't come across with it, they kill Tom and knock out Rickie. Rickie then uses his model of Birdie to locate the thugs, and when Rickie is captured and buried alive, Rickie uses Birdie to circle the area. The Heap sees it, saves the boy but takes the pearls.

Talk of the hotel being jinxed seems to affect the Heap, who kills one of the surveyors before Rickie uses his glider to knock the creature off a high ledge, presumably to its death.

When Kiska visits his analyist, he tells him that when he was younger, he saw a hairy walking tree (The Heap) near the wreck of a German plane. This causes Kiska to kill the psycholoanalyist, return to his factory, where Yost explains that he has found the Heap. Kiska goes crazy, shooting the pilot, who then shoots and kills Kiska.

The Heap enters the castle and a free-for-all begins, with the death of Paul and the true villain: Mr. Turner's attorney.

Synopsis: The Heap, now in a Costa Rican jungle, comes upon two prospectors that have hit the mother load in a jungle stream. He watches as Ned attempts to drown his pal in a quicksand pit in order not to have to share the new-found wealth and leaves, then unbeknownst saves him. But Ned is too free a talker in town and two other thugs hear and take Ned to the site of the strike. It's then that Ned learns that there is no honor among thieves.

Synopsis: Two tourists in Bombay meet a beggar on the street and ask him to relate a story, and he does: he relates the story of Baron von Emmelman, as well as the story of one of the instigators of WW1, the mysterious Q-4, who never was brought to justice. It seems Q-4 made his way to Argentina and tells (through a note to the Police) that he is in country, a fact made known to a Captain Morgan, who has been hunting for Q-4. What Morgan learns about Q-4 and Maria and her connection to von Emmelman literally shocks him.

Synopsis: In a tale to locate the famed von Emmelman jeweled neckband, as related by the jewel thief himself, this criminal tells of how three noted jewel thieves met in a waterfront warehouse to discuss this jeweled neckband, which was to be hidden away with a series of obstacles in place for future thief to try and overcome after their deaths. The future thief who succeeds in discovering its location will earn the title of "Master Jewel Thief". Yet this thief, although he succeeds, finds out that crime does not pay, especially when the Heap is involved!
