When Aladdin acquires a magic lamp, its Genie brings him wealth and the hand of a princess in marriage, but a sorceror steals the lamp by peddling new lamps for old and transports Aladdin's wife and palace to a remote land. Aladdin's magic ring allows him to restore the palace to its original site. He is re-united with his wife and the sorceror is left wandering in the desert.

The next day, the boy plays the same trick and, once again, the townspeople run to the meadow. On the third day, a wolf devastates the flock but the boy's cries of "Wolf!" are ignored by the townspeople.
