The Empress of the Silver Snake is revealed to be Diana, Hippolyte's sister, who was killed in Wonder Woman (DC, 1942 series) #247, in the "Tales of the Amazons" feature. Wonder Woman was made in the image of that Diana. The Amazons are forbidden to visit man's world, but visiting the moon is not a problem. Diana Prince shows a growing attachment for fellow trainee Mike Bailey. Diana is momentarily stunned when Mike calls her "angel," just as Steve Trevor had always done.
