Arak, Son of Thunder
Arak; Valda; Malagigi; Satyricus; Haakon
Arak and his band of followers take shelter in a cave following their escape from Albracca. There, Arak and Valda begin to develop a romantic relationship, and Malagigi and Satyricus discuss their respective connections to the two lovers. The idyllic rest comes to an end when a refugee Tartar wizard calls forth a fire-breathing salamander, which Arak has to dispatch with a falling stalactite. The threat ended, Arak and Satyricus must bid farewell to the others so that Arak can pursue his destiny, and Valda and Malagigi can return to the court of Carolus Magnus.
