Furious that Harry tried to capture her, Waller sends members of the Suicide Squad to Checkmate headquarters where they end up getting involved in a pitched battle between Peacemaker and Major Force. They succeed in taking out both players but fail to bring in either Megala or Harry. Meanwhile, Harry is trying to defuse the Janus Directive conflict by sending Black Thorn to persuade Eiling of Project Atom to contact him so they can talk things out. Kobra, the real mastermind behind the Janus Directive, feels his plan is being derailed a bit and decides to get things back on track.
