Mon-El; Bizarro Superman #1; Parasite; The Guardian [Jim Harper clone]; Science Police [Wilcox [Princess Projectra; Sensor Girl]; Romundi; Control; Billi Harper; others]; Superboy [Kon-El] (flashback); Krypto (flashback, cameo); Dr. Calomar (flashback, cameo); General Sam Lane; Morgan Edge; Perry White; Jimmy Olsen; Tellus (flashback, cameo); Natasha Irons; John Henry Irons [Steel]; Nightwing [Chris Kent] (cameo); Flamebird [Thara Ak-Var] (cameo); The Pemberton Camera and Film Factory
Bizarro and Parasite are attacking Mon-El and Metropolis, with the Science Police confronting them. Mon-El has lost his powers again, and has to rely on his Science Police training until the powers come back, which they do. Finally, Parasite is captured, and Bizarro has had enough and leaves Earth, with Mon-El pondering that himself, flashing back to asking Superboy to program the Fortress maintenance robot Kelex so that it can repair Mon-El's rocket. Back at SP headquarters, Mon-El and crew decide what to do next, as Morgan Edge interviews General Lane about Mon-El's reappearance on TV. Lane says that Mon-El had been brainwashed by Kryptonians, but was being treated by the Human Defense Corps when he escaped and may still be paranoid. Mon-El is summoned by Jimmy's signal watch, only to find Perry White with it. Perry tells him that Jimmy is "dead" after being shot, but then takes him to where Jimmy is. Jimmy has been hiding out after being rescued by Tellus, with Perry identifying his supposed body (actually a drug overdose case that fell in the waters from which Jimmy was rescued). Jimmy reveals he's been working with Natasha Irons to bring down the 7734 project, and she was the one who helped Parasite and Mon-El escape. Natasha next visits her uncle, as he's in a coma in the hospital, regretting her earlier rebellion against him. After she leaves, he awakens, and realizes what Atlas had done to him. Mon-El expands his experiences by spending the night with Billi, but is summoned by the Guardian to deal with a sudden appearance by Nightwing and Flamebird.

Story continued from the previous issue and Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen Special (DC, 2008 series) #2, and continues in Action Comics (DC, 1938 series) #885 and the next issue. The Pemberton Camera and Film Factory is probably a reference to Sylvester Pemberton, also known as the original Star-Spangled Kid.
